Fall 2017 – Canadian Rye

Victor Wiens and Kevin Krumrei co-hosted this night.  We had 6 different Canadian rye whiskies to try, although not all of them are bottled in Canada.  This was a blind tasting, served 1 round at a time.

    • Aged in new charred oak
  • 66 Gilead Crimson Rye
    • 47% ABV
    • Aged exclusively in wine barrels
  • Stalk & Barrel 100% Rye Cask Strength
    • 60.2% ABV
    • Non-chill filtered
    • No colour added
  • Pendelton 1910
  • Crown Royal Northern Harvest
    • 45% ABV
    • 95% rye grain
  • Dillon’s Rye Three Oaks
    • 43% ABV
    • Aged in new Ontario oak, new American oak, used American oak.
